Master of Science position (M.S. in Agriculture; emphasis in Agricultural Business & Economics) open at WTAMU

Location: Canyon, TX

Description: Master’s research assistantship available for a graduate student to study the economic impacts of alternative water management strategies and/or policies to conserve water in the Ogallala Aquifer.

Qualifications: The applicant must be self-motivated with a good attitude and strong work ethic. Applicant must also possess excellent spreadsheet skills in Excel due to the large amount of data which will be evaluated. Well-developed oral and written communication skills are necessary and the ability to work cooperatively within a team setting is required. Students with a strong interest in natural resource conservation are preferred. Applicant should possess a B.S. in Agribusiness or Agricultural Business and Economics. A Bachelor of Science in a closely related discipline may also be considered if it is determined that their background and experience are sufficient. Applicant must meet the minimum admission requirements of the University and the Department of Agricultural Sciences.

Stipend: $18,000 per year plus health insurance
